At the Natural and Organic Products Show in April earlier this year, I was handed out a couple of samples of room sprays from Cocovogue. I had not heard of the brand before but I was drawn to the fact that their sprays use moringa infused raw virgin coconut oil. Two of my favourite ingredients! Moringa is an African superfood used to purify water, and in the sprays it is used to purify stale air.
Many of the unnatural air fresheners on the market use really nasty chemical combinations, such as formaldehydes, phthalates and benzene compounds, which are carcinogenic, irritants and toxic. The Maria Lani range offers a natural alternative and the fragrance surpasses that of the cheap synthetic versions on the mass market, as well as being long lasting.
I have been using the Bamboo Breeze in my living area and as a linen spray – a combination of bamboo with rosemary, bergamot and lemon – and Orange and Lemon in my kitchen – a zingy citrus blend of grapefruit, sweet orange, mandarin, bergamot, lemon and lime with a splash of rosemary for good measure.
These sprays are not available in the UK yet (I realise this is where most of my readers are!) however this is due to change in the next couple of months and I will keep you updated on this.
