When Antoinetta contacted me saying that they thought I would love the latest product launch from Jane Iredale, a Botanical Makeup Remover, I was inclined to agree. Jane Iredale makeup is one of my favourite mineral makeup brands, the range certainly cleared up at the Biteable Beauty Best Of Awards last year! I haven’t come across many natural/organic makeup removers, sadly the JASON Makeup Remover Pads although effective at dealing with the task at hand are not suitable for my hypersensitive eyes. I tend to use coconut oil with cotton wool remover pads to take off my eye and face makeup.
The ingredients in Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover are moisturising and soothing with no drying ingredients such as alcohol, which can be found in some makeup remover products. The skin-loving ingredients in Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover can even help restore the lipid barrier of the skin! It smells of Cucumber and so it should as Cucumber Fruit Extract is the main ingredient. There’s also Squalene-rich Algae Extract, soothing Aloe Vera, calming Avena Sativa, Radish Root Extract and Honeysuckle Extracts.
This is a highly effective makeup remover product without the use of harsh chemical ingredients. Only a small amount on a couple of cotton wool pads is needed to remove my whole face of makeup. If you pay attention to the ingredients in your skincare and makeup I highly recommend you check out this product!
